Animal control officers removed a small alligator and a three poisonous snakes from a rowhouse in North Philadelphia this morning.
Police also arrested one man at the home on the 1100 block of Nevada Street.
The snakes were two rattlesnakes and a Gaboon viper, according to Liz Williamson, a spokeswoman for the Pennsylvania SPCA.
Owning such animals in Philadelphia is illegal, she said.
