A German tourist has been airlifted to a Perth hospital after he was bitten by a brown snake.
The 28-year-old was bitten on the foot by the snake while holidaying at Coral Bay, in Western Australia’s midwest region, a Royal Flying Doctors Service (RFDS) spokeswoman said.
“The 28-year-old was transported by road to Carnarvon, given anti-venom by the RFDS, then flown to Perth on the RFDS Rio Tinto Life Flight Jet, arriving early this morning,” she said.
The tourist is being treated in Royal Perth Hospital.
