If yesterday was not awesome enough today just made the week better. The work day went by supper fast, filled up my gas tank and headed home. Gave some love to the family and shot into the office to get to work. Its funny how the studio lights always blind me when filming, I walk back in the office which is only lit by florescent lighting and its all dark, red dots in my vision. Its all good though. I had so much fun filming today and making fun of one of our stories. I did some more no BS quick cut editing, upped the pace a little bit and I think the minor changes make for a much better final product which is exactly what DRN needs right now. We are in unprecedented times that call for unprecedented measures. I thought a lot today about what I do and how much I love it but could not help but think about how it takes so much time that I dont have. It reminded me of a phone conversation I had with someone who was huge on helping me in the video world and that is djmedic2008 on YouTube. One time while talking about how much time it took to do what we do he said “We have to make the time, its our job to create content and put out a show” He of course put a huge emphasis on “It’s our job” He is absolutely right as always. I am trying to make DRN my career, its my business and I must make time for business.
In other news all in all things are good right now. I have gone back to work “until further notice” this means the fear I had about DRN stopping all together is gone for now and that is awesome. It may have in fact bought me just enough time to really explode in the web show world. Time will tell but thus far its looking awesome. I also talked with some people today on FaceBook about Boas. I think I might get a pair soon. I use to have Sand Boas and could not get into them at all, I also had Colombian Red Tails but I cant house snakes that large anymore so we spoke about some Boas with the Colombians appearance but not over 6-8′ in length. I am not 100% sure yet but I am going to be keeping one eye on the market for some of the smaller Boas we were talking about. Back in September I saw a pair of Tree Boas at the Sacramento Expo for like $100 and wish I would have grabbed them, maybe next year.
