Got your attention? That is, after all, the whole purpose of a genius marketing campaign by the Copenhagen Zoo.
Created by the marketing agency Bates Y&R, the team combined massive high-resolution photos of a city bus with other massive photos of a boa constrictor, and then edited the two to make it look as though the bus was being crushed.
It’s so realistic that some Copenhagen commuters have refused to get on board.
There’s now word yet on how successful the campaign has been for the zoo, but it’s certainly helped the agency, which recently won a Creative Circle award for the idea. Since then the agency has been hired to turn several subway cars into a rolling zoo, with lots of realistic animals climbing and slithering all over the place.
