A Reynosa family got a unique surprise inside their home on Thursday.
The family told authorities they found a baby crocodile in the bathtub of their Colonia Jarachina Sur home.
Firefighters removed the one-and-a-half-foot-long reptile from the family’s home.
Authorities believe the young crocodile may have ended up in the family’s southside home due to recent flooding that has hit the area.
The animal is now in custody at a local fire station while authorities look to find it a good home such as a zoo.
Crocodiles are not native to the region but Reynosa residents have spotted or captured them in local canals and the Rio Grande River.
