HIGH POINT, N.C. – Several neighbors who live on West Willis St. called police Sunday after they spotted a 3-foot-long lizard walking through their neighborhood.
The residents had started to notice something was up a few days ago when some vegetables started disappearing. When they spotted the lizard, everything added up.
“We came out and I looked at it, and it stayed right there,” said Jack Smith. “It stood its ground. And then it was me and about three other guys and we all caught him.”
The guys who caught the lizard said they aren’t keeping it and, instead, will take it to a pet store so it can find a permanent home.
