I wanted to share a photo gallery of my new Boa with everyone. I have yet to pick a name or even determine sex. Any guesses as to a good universal name?

Ok so a while ago I purchased amadorreptiles.com I was not completely sure what I was going to do with it. I set up a website for it but I have since taken that down. I am not pointing that domain at the DRN blog and renamed the blog to Amador Reptiles. I think what I want to do it use it to kind of point to my own little spot on the website “My blog” to kind of distinguish myself from the website. At the same time I am really wanting to make more blog and vlog entry’s and really start showing the other reptile side of me that dose not have to do with the news. It seems like everyone I talk to knows me from the news but this blog as well as the vlog is to show that there is so much more going on in life than the news and give people an inside look at not only my life outside of the news and reptiles but other stuff as well.

Thats correct, its time to get your word in or forever hold your peace. DRN is getting ready to enter a very fast paced time of growth and I want to know what you think. The question is simple but the answers are sure to be complicated. What would you like to see for the future DRN both on the website and in the videos? Comment below and be part of the future DRN.

In the next couple of days there will be a lot going on not only in my home but in life in general. Starting in 12 minutes from this second the anniversary of the attacks on our country will start. On September 11th 2001 I was awoken by a very good friend asking me if I Was watching TV. I always hated this because it was around 8-9AM PST and at 4AM I was loading someone in an Ambulance, on September 11th 2001 I was a Fire Fighter. I will never forget it, it was a Tuesday, the first time in history our normal Tuesday meeting at the fire house was canceled. I did not stay in the field much longer after that, I think in fact I quit before the years end. On Wednesday September 12th 2001 I turned 23 years old, yes again The attacks happened the day before my 23rd Birthday, This year that falls on this coming Monday. In my thoughts on Sunday will be not only the 341 Fire Fighters, 2 Paramedics, 23 Police Officers, 37 Port Authority Officers and 8 EMT’s but all the 2,996 people that died that day, half which were never identified as well as the 54,800 Americans that have been killed or injured in the war on terror thus far. That being said I wish no one to wish me a happy birthday but rather wish all those people rest in peace, take a trip to your local Fire House or Police Department and tell them thank you. Do something for your community, do something positive for the reptile community.

So at first my title was going to be “The beginning has already happened, the end is already decided, our job is to fill in the blanks” Clearly this was to long so I stuck with the core idea of this blog post. I have really felt the need as of late to make a vlog video outlining my life, what I have done, where I come from, what I do and where I want to go but unfortunately I think this will be a very long video as my mind never sleeps and chances are not many if any at all will even watch it.

I have worked for people, worked for myself, done just about everything you can think of from working in fast food to hosting my own webshow yet as I sit here the biggest thing that weighs on my mind is at 32 years young I still have no idea what I want to do. I would so love to do DRN full time but I also have to be realistic and say the chances of that are slim to none. I was doing it as a business for a while but after looking into many factors decided I would no longer look at it that way. I now just do it for a hobby to take part in my love for the production process as well as reptiles. Its kinda odd when I think about it. As said in the beginning the beginning has already happened, the end is already decided and we must fill in the blanks. That is what I am efforting at this time, filling in the blanks and trying to figure out what to fill them in with. Like I said I have worked for myself and enjoyed it but it always seemed to get old, Maybe I was just in the wrong business I don’t know.

This is the primary reason for the new schedule change. As I explained recently to a good friend and viewer of the show, “At this point I don’t ever plan to quit doing it but I simply need to decide what it is I want to do with my life and then schedule the show around that”

I still however am a little hopeful that DRN may be that something bit again being realistic I have to say its more than likely not. I may still do a “My Life” video but more than likely will pass this post around for a while and see what everyone’s thoughts are on a video like that before dedicating the time to produce it. Ether way I still look forward to a long time of Producing videos and administrating a website for the awesome people of the reptile world.
