Well I am pretty sure everyone knows by now DRN announced on Friday night live on Urban Jungles-Radio that we were going back to 5 days per week for the YouTube videos. I also stated on the air that there will be some programing changes coming. I am still holding to that statement but I am not sure quite where to make the changes. You see this is something I have thought about for a while now. If 8 months from now someone watches Fridays video, nothing in it will be relevant. Reason being is because it will all be 8 months old and old news. I want to keep the idea of talking about the news but I want to make it something more entertaining so people that watch old episodes will still enjoy them even if they are old news. I am absolutely sure that thee changes will make me lose viewers but I am confident in the long run it will make me gain more. Right now according to the plan I am only able to target people who really care about news in the reptile world and that is like slicing my neck as a lot of herpers out there just dont care about news so I think I need to kick it up a notch, maybe make the news fun so not only will I be doing the news but will also be making those who dont care more interested in the news and more informed on what is going on in our world. I am supper interested to hear what anyone has to say about this. Any ideas to make it more interesting further into the future while still drawing a viewer base and keeping what viewers I can? Above is just a video of me driving down the road on my way ghost hunting last night, not much really. I had an awesome time and actually had an experience that I am having trouble passing off as coincidence. This is the first time I experienced something that could not easily be explained. Dose that mean I believe in ghosts? No not really. I think there are things out there that we dont understand but I am not yet willing to give in and saw what happened was paranormal.

The night was going on like any other investigation before this one, its a pretty normal thing. Showing up, setting up equipment, talking with the people, attempting to draw energy, EVP’s, running around with the EMF detectors keeping an eye on all the IR cameras, fairly normal this we have done many times before. A fairly unimpressive time but I enjoy it so its all good. A couple of hours into the night we decided to move from the room we were in which was the living room and move about the house to the different rooms. We were in another room that had a saddle and boots in it, I did not ask but judging from conversation I am assuming it was property of the deceased. We were standing near the saddle and Bear “One of the people I was with” started asking about the spurs on the boots, right around that time I felt a weight on my chest, almost as if someone was jabbing there finger into the center of my chest. It did not last long though, we talked about it then moved on. After no more luck in the other rooms we returned to the room with the saddle and tried to reproduce the feeling which we could not. I ran an EMF detector all around the area which I had done about ten times already that night, low and behold the EMF detected a fairly strong signal directly over and to the immediate sides of the saddle. It was kid of amazing almost as if someone was  sitting on the saddle. After a while of that we pretty much wrapped it up. We were about to pull out of the driveway and I thought of a test I wanted to do so we grabbed an EMF detector and went back in only to find what ever set it off over the saddle was no longer there.

As I said, none of this means there was a ghost there, I am always a huge skeptic but I am finding it hard to draw an explanation so I am left to determine there was “something” there. We are suppose to be going out again to a different location next Saturday night. I cant wait and hope for similar results.

I have a plain and simple dream, its a dream I have had for as long as I can remember. Dreams are suppose to be easy to figure out but this dream has proven to be the hardest thing I have ever done. The dream I have is to run my own business. I had a snake breeding business that did ok but I went about it the wrong way and really destroyed the hobby for me, I currently own a landscape maintenance and design business which is being clobbered by the economy, DRN started out as a hobby but quickly turned into a business venture which did/is not quite working out. I still have hopes for DRN but I am all mixed up as to whether I should wind it back down to a hobby. I am afraid if I wind it back down it will kill any chance it has to become anything big, or maybe that’s exactly what it needs. I am having a very very hard time keeping the schedule up because of how my work hours keep changing and work itself right now is very iffy. I also started a business a while ago to sell birds, they are another one of my hobbies but trying to breed them has been a lot more difficult than it is suppose to be. Hopefully for my own sanity something will take off very soon. I feel like I am starting to fall off my rocker always trying and trying and not getting ahead with my business ideas. I am sick and tired of putting in all my time working for someone ells and being stuck in the world of the employed, according to my dream I am suppose to be the employer.

Well DRN had a great day today. I was able to type out what felt like a billion words first thing this morning, I started my day just after 2AM got the news stories up, moved on to filming and almost forgot how much I loved it and got the show out all in time for my spot on Urban Jungles Radio. I feel very accomplished today

A couple of new segments came out today “This and That’s” which is just a bunch of fun stuff, mostly reptile related that I find and post during the week as well as “Herps and Chicks” where Brittany won our #1 spot for putting our initials DRN in a special place, go check out the picture. DRN’s ratings today soared, for sure because of the Herps and Chicks segment and there is also talk about a new contest to vote in an official DRN girl.

I had a ton of fun but now its 10PM, its been a 20 hour day and its time to get some more work done still. Tomorrow I have other things to focus on but am supper excited to do all this again next week. Dont forget that the website is updated 7 days per week and the show for now is every Friday.

Ahhh filming is done, I missed it so much, loved doing it and already missed it but filming and editing are both done and rendering is in progress now.

I am not for sure yet what will happen with the show schedule but the important part is I am keeping it up and at the very least hope to continue being able to do it once per week but I would love to go back to daily like before. I miss it a lot.

I think the Herps and Chicks segment is going to be a hit and hope to make it a regular weekly thing as well. Its been an awesome day and I cant wait to make today’s show public and also cant wait for Urban Jungles Radio tonight.

I still have high hopes that DRN will take off and some time hopefully sooner than later I will be able to do it for a living.

Ok so its 3AM Friday morning and I am up working. Today is when DRN is suppose to come back on the new schedule albeit maybe changing again. I am actually just to excited to sleep because today is the big filming and production day. Its been a while since I last had to do this all in one day. I am truly hoping that the DRN schedule calms down and falls in place sometime very soon. I have said it before and will again that I love doing it but its been a huge burden with the schedule all messed up like it is. I had a plan to make it much longer but may keep it cut back to the few minutes each that they always have been. I am not sure a lot of people would watch for 30 minutes anyway and the shorter shows make it easier to film and edit. I have a lot of new ideas for show segments that I will have to figure out how to fit in but I am sure all the peaces will fall in place eventually. I think I am also going to restore some of the removed content from the website. A lot of it could get confusing but I think its part of what made DRN what it is.

Thats the best way I can describe this past week. I spent the afternoon working with DRN and cant believe how much I missed it. I truly could do this for the rest of my life. The herps and chicks idea has gotten some good attention and I am hoping to make it a normal segment on the show. You also may have noticed a lot of little stuff posted on this blog as of late. I started a new page which will also be a new segment called “This and That’s” which is where all that cute and or amazing stuff will be posted.

I have also made some big changes to the website, removed a lot of content actually but have yet to hear any feedback on that.

Its been so hard to keep up with everything lately, As far as the snakes go I barely have time to keep them fed and watered, I really really miss the time I was able to spend at home working on DRN and seeing my kids every day. This last week I went 2 days without seeing them awake and that was painful after being around so much.

I am still very hopeful that DRN will  make it eventually, I do however have a fear that it will start to lose steam since I don’t have as much time to work on it as much anymore. I only hope it catches on fast so I can get back to work on it full time and once again love what I do every day.
