Everyone will be happy to know the 5 foot Monitor that has been wandering Riverside county for a couple of days and giving the media a Godzilla feeding frenzy and pissing off herpers all the same has been reunited with his keepers. 2 year old Elmer escaped out a door that was carelessly left opened by a child while his cage was being cleaned and he was left to wander. Animals services also went as far as to report that they have no heard of any missing pets in the area…………….yet.

Philippine crocodile nearly extinct
According to the world conservation union the Philippine crocodile will be extinct in 10 years if conservation efforts dont start immediate. It is said that the critical endangered Crocodile numbers at only about 100 animals in the wild. Currently it is the most endangered Cocodilian in the world and the law prohibits hunting, killing, selling, and buying of the species. Violators are fined P100,000.
Mother saves her sons life
A 4 year old boy inadvertently stepped on a Brown Snake and was promptly bitten on both feet. His mother quickly applied a tourniquet on both legs and kept the boy calm until he was transported to the hospital where he was placed on a 24 hour observation in the ICU. When the day was done no antivenin had to be given to the boy. More people who live in areas where snakes are in abundance or even people who visit these areas should be educated in the proper way to handle snake bites.

Thought to be WA’s only all girl snake rescue teem Allison Dixon and Wendy Jackson love educating people about what to do when they come across a snake. Apparently Mike & Greg Warner, from the Warner Amazon Expedition will be in a documentary called Into the Amazon. There expedition is being done to prove the existence of the giant anacondas. The interviewed just about every tribe they found and not only to the stories all match up but also support the data and theories.
